Apple has postponed the launch of its next-generation iPhone Air, originally slated for fall 2026, following weaker-than-expected demand for the current model. The tech giant informed engineers and suppliers of the delay without providing a revised timeline, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The iPhone Air, introduced in 2025 as a sleeker alternative to Apple's flagship lineup, failed to gain significant traction despite its minimalist design. Market analysts attribute the sluggish sales to compromises in camera capabilities and battery life compared to standard iPhone models.

Production of the existing iPhone Air has been sharply reduced as Apple reevaluates its product strategy. The delay comes as the company prepares to launch the iPhone 18 Pro alongside other anticipated devices in its 2026 lineup.
